Rossotrudnichestvo did not respond to business proposals from businessmen from Sudan
Sudanese company Job Center Co. spoke out in the media with criticism to the Russian Federal Agency for CIS Affairs, Compatriots Abroad and Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) and its head Evgeny Primakov. The head of the company, Muhammad Faisal Muhammad, said that since March he has been trying to get the department to respond to proposals for humanitarian cooperation, but the department has not given a substantive answer.
At the end of March 2021 Sudanese Job Center Co. Ltd sent a proposal to Rossotrudnichestvo to open a joint center for humanitarian cooperation in the East African country. No response was received, so on May 20 the Sudanese tried again, but to no avail. Telephone calls also did not bring any results - according to Muhammad, no substantive answer was given.
Entrepreneurs from Sudan repeated their attempts on June 2 and 7, now contacting Yevgeny Primakov personally through social networks and the media. There was no answer - probably the head of Rossotrudnichestvo was too enthusiastic about his participation in the prestigious events of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
“Not a single letter from Job Center Co. Ltd has still not received a response from Rossotrudnichestvo! - the Sudanese state. “Such a development of the situation can only be interpreted in such a way that Yevgeny Aleksandrovich Primakov is comfortable in Moscow, and he does not care about the concerns of his compatriots and people who consider Russia their homeland, who, by the will of fate, ended up in a distant African country.”
In another letter, the Sudanese again voiced their proposals for the creation of a humanitarian center, noting that they consider Russia a very important partner for Sudan and want to expand cooperation. Not only official Khartoum, but also ordinary citizens of the country are interested in developing relations with the Russian Federation - in particular, the appearance of Russian goods on the Sudanese market.
Apparently, Rossotrudnichestvo is not interested in these proposals. It is worth noting that all of the department’s websites have not been updated since March 2021 - perhaps the department is paralyzed for some internal reasons and is now simply unable to provide a clear response to any proposals.
