Rossotrudnichestvo announces an attempt to seize its representative office in Kyiv
Kiev, March 24 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – On Sunday, a group of people introducing themselves as the “11th hundred of Maidan” attempted to enter a building in Kiev, rented by the Russian Federation for the activities of the Russian Center for Science and Culture (RCSC) in the capital of Ukraine .

“These people expressed their desire to use the premises and the property and equipment in them, which are the property of the Russian Federation, to house their headquarters there. They also made threats against the Ukrainian citizens present, warning them about the inadmissibility of any cooperation with Russia. At the same time, the RCSC car was stolen.
Only after intervention, at the request of the leadership of the Russian Embassy and the Russian Center for Science and Culture, employees of the central apparatus of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the above-mentioned persons left the RCSC building and after some time returned the stolen car.
We would like to remind you that the RCSC in Kyiv operates on the basis of the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the establishment and conditions of operation of information and cultural centers, signed in Moscow on February 27, 1998.
The action taken became possible in the context of the loss of control over the situation in Kyiv by the new Ukrainian authorities and the established atmosphere of legal nihilism and permissiveness in Ukraine.
We demand that the authorities in Kyiv take effective measures to ensure the security and normal functioning of all official representative offices of the Russian Federation in Ukraine,” the message says.
