Ukrainians fear rising prices twice as much as they fear external aggression
Economic fears - unemployment, rising prices, non-payment of wages and pensions - prevail in the public mood of Ukrainian citizens.

Ukrainian sociologist, head of the Ilk Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation, Irina Bekeshkina, said this in an interview with the Kyiv magazine “New Time”.
“Ukrainians do not feel safe for two reasons. Firstly, this is, of course, war; secondly, crime is growing, and violent crime at that. What do you think people are most afraid of now? Rising prices. According to monitoring data from the Institute of Sociology, 43% are afraid of an attack from an external enemy, 81% are afraid of rising prices, 60% are afraid of non-payment of wages and pensions, and 73% are afraid of unemployment. Economic fears are prevalent.
