Rostislav Ishchenko named the period within which it is possible to stop the collapse of Ukraine
The process of disintegration of Ukrainian statehood is somewhere in the middle and will continue.

This opinion was expressed by political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko.
“It is impossible to say what will happen next, because we do not know at what stage this process will be stopped. In the worst case scenario, Ukraine will be left with a completely degraded population capable of doing only the simplest agricultural work. Then it will no longer be possible to recreate a state on this territory. She will be looked after by someone from the outside,” Ishchenko said.
In his opinion, if the process of Ukraine’s disintegration is stopped now, then in the next ten years it will be possible to restore the standard of living of 2013.
“If the situation is not stabilized by the end of the year, the collapse will reach those limits after which the state will not be recreated. I don’t think that it will be possible to stabilize it by the end of the year, because this can only be done by the collective will of the world community. None of Ukraine’s neighbors have the necessary resources,” Ishchenko said.
He believes that at the moment the civil war is already spreading across the entire territory of Ukraine.
“There are constant reports of shootings. They are not in the top news, but there are dozens and hundreds of them per week, and their number is growing. The country is collapsing there. Many regions are already largely governed by their own elites, who maintain formal deference to Kyiv's status. This may come, as in Somalia, to the point where every yard becomes a defensive fortress,” Ishchenko believes.
All this is fraught with population loss.
“In the best case, by the time something is stabilized there, the country will have a population of 20-25 million. Therefore, there is no need to talk about a quick recovery,” Ishchenko said.
