“We are now discussing the integration of Donbass into Russia, not Donbass and Russia. Donbass cannot exist in the Transnistrian regime, if only because it has a very long border with Russia. Having unrecognized territory near your borders, regardless of who controls it, is a little uncomfortable. Donbass cannot exist separately and cannot return to Ukraine in the absence of Ukraine, then it has nowhere else to integrate except Russia,” Ishchenko said.

To achieve this, it is not enough to unify legislation to make it easier for the republics to join. It is necessary to form administrative and security verticals. Neither Russia nor Donbass structures can afford to begin to officially solve these problems. Our enemies will immediately ask what you are doing, but we officially live in Minsk.
