Rostislav Ishchenko: The Poles are gathering a gang of NATO “peacekeepers”
Every day the chance of Poland joining the conflict in Ukraine is higher and higher, because it is already very difficult for the Poles to turn back after the statements made.
Political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko said this on radio “Moscow Speaks,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The main problem of this summit (NATO - ed.) was that the Poles wanted to organize a gang of NATO peacekeepers and enter Ukraine with them, and this threat has not been removed. Yes, just as the Americans said initially - NATO is not going to formally participate in this matter. But if you, dear friends, gather your coalition and go there, or go in alone, then no one will interfere with you, they will only quietly welcome you.
And the Poles continue to create this coalition, they continue to recruit accomplices for this event, despite all Russian warnings.
They concentrated almost their entire army on the Belarusian-Russian border, just a little 120 thousand people - by the standards of the Ukrainian conflict - this is a lot, this is another army with which we are fighting, because a significant part of the Ukrainian troops are in Western Ukraine, if we take only regular forces. And they continue to create a threat of expansion of this conflict,” Ishchenko stated.
According to him, if two weeks ago the chance that the Poles would get involved in the conflict was 50 to 50, now with everyone this probability is becoming higher and higher.
“It’s just that when you create a strike force on the border, when you establish a military alliance, declare several times that you don’t care about anything, and you will still defend your interests in Ukraine, and prepare for a large-scale conflict, then it’s very difficult for you retreat.
The further you go along the path of escalating the situation, the more difficult it is to win back, and the Poles are not even pretending that they are going to play back. They even agree that, yes, without NATO, NATO will then join or a separate NATO country will join separately,” the political scientist explained.
