Rostislav Ishchenko: Ukraine is becoming a nuclear dump for the whole world
Ukraine does not need to return Soviet nuclear capabilities to scare the whole world.
Political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko said this today on the Vesti FM radio station.
“The Ukrainians talked a lot about the possibility of creating a dirty atomic bomb. It’s simple: he climbed into the reactor and collected spent fuel, instead of transporting it to storage bases. Moreover, Ukraine is now becoming a nuclear dump for the whole world, so they should have unlimited supplies for a dirty bomb. So you can scare the whole world. It won’t explode, but contamination of the territory is guaranteed,” Ishchenko said.
In his opinion, Ukraine poses a danger to the world, even if it does not create any dubious weapons.
“Any chemical enterprise in Ukraine, and there are plenty of them, they no longer work, this is the same bomb for neighboring countries. And any Ukrainian nuclear reactor is the same bomb. Remember how Europe twitched when Chernobyl exploded. This is how it was under the USSR, which controlled the situation. The same kind of accident in modern Ukraine, no one knows what it will lead to,” Ishchenko said.
