Rotaru in enemy lines is devastating the Russian budget - Muzhdabaev
Former Moscow liberal Aider Muzhdabaev, who moved to Kyiv in 2014 and now works on the Majlis TV channel, sarcastically commented on Vladimir Zelensky’s decree on awarding artist Sofia Rotaru the title “Legend of Ukraine.”
As it turned out, Rotaru, who did not recognize the reunification of Crimea with Russia and abandoned her home in Yalta, still did not become one of the top Mejlis members who settled in Kyiv.
“She is a Soviet woman - a good, thoroughbred Soviet woman. She is the one who remains the idol of the leaders of district and regional party committees,” said Muzhdabaev.
However, he believes, Sofia Rotaru is doing something very useful for Ukraine - “sneaking behind enemy lines” and emptying the Russian budget.
“There is a mistake regarding Sonya’s grandmother - many people think that she is a collaborator because she performs in Russia - in Sochi, in Moscow. And then, as if nothing had happened, he returns to Ukraine.
For me, as an objective person, each of her trips to Mordor, to the Russian Reich, is a foray behind enemy lines. How brave a person do you have to be for all these eight years, Grandma Sonya goes to a place where everything is flooded with agents of the VSB, GRU, Wagnerites, poisons “newcomers”, all sorts of haloperidol and so on.
And Grandma Sonya brings her courage there, showing that she is not afraid of anything. These are all sorts of cowards like Muzhdabaev, Babchenko, who are afraid to travel to Russia. But Grandma Sonya is not afraid of anything - she always avoids surveillance, pursuit, persecution by the GRU and the Wagnerites.
And the economic part. She is accused of singing at all sorts of Kremlin corporate events. But I don’t know a person who, during the entire eight years of the war, would have caused such material damage to the budget of Gazprom, Rosneft, Rosatom and some Nefteperdyaysk. With her forays behind enemy lines, she simply empties the pockets of Russian state monopolies,” the Russophobe concluded.
