In the Donetsk People's Republic, the birth rate is increasing every month, while in Ukraine this figure is falling catastrophically.
The head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, stated this on the air of First Republican.

“Why is the birth rate falling in Ukraine, although there are no military operations taking place throughout Ukraine? Women give birth when they are confident in the future, when there is a stable salary, and their children will receive a stable education. There is no stability in Ukraine now. The people are in a state of terrible depression, and in such a state no sane family would give birth. The statistics are crazy, the fall is crazy.
In our conditions of war, daily shelling, military operations, people believe in the country and their future. Therefore, our birth rate is increasing by one and a half percent every month. 5,6 thousand people, 5,8 thousand - six thousand is the monthly birth rate. Not only has our birth rate increased, but today the number of marriages in registry offices is many times higher than in 14. People get married, have children and believe in the future,” Zakharchenko said.
