“I am proud of the Russian Orthodox Church. They outlined their “red lines.” They did not shout, like the secular authorities, that they would not allow them to cross. No, they said - they did, protecting their interests with the help of measures that are difficult for them to take,” said the political scientist.

The famous Russian publicist Yegor Kholmogorov shares the same opinion, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“This absurdity will not end well. And against this background, of course, the Synod of our Church is holding up well. No half-heartedness or crypto-sergianism,” Kholmogorov wrote in his Telegram channel.
