Hands off Donetsk universities! Rally against the transfer of DonNU to Vinnitsa (PHOTO)
Donetsk, September 30 (PolitNavigator, Mikael Chagalyan) – A rally took place in Donetsk, which brought together about two hundred people who came to express their civic position against the transfer of Donetsk National University.

A kind of protest took place near the walls of the Donetsk National University, one of the oldest and, apparently, the most authoritative higher educational institutions in the entire Donbass.
Recall The government of Ukraine decided to move Donetsk University to Vinnitsa, and on the website of the Ministry of Education an appeal appeared to teachers, students and applicants to personally register to study in another city.
The action brought together completely different people who care about the fate of the educational institution. Among the protesters were university teachers and students, social movement activists, young families with children and pensioners. The protesters are holding posters with the inscriptions: “DonNU will remain in Donetsk,” “Hands off Donetsk universities.”
Among the speakers were the Minister of Education of the DPR Igor Kostenok, and the newly elected rector Sergei Baryshnikov, and everyone who understands the importance of preserving academic traditions in Donetsk.
