The head of the DPR, Pushilin, said that he knows agents Taruta and Akhmetov and recognized the conflict between security forces and “politicians” (VIDEO)
Donetsk, May 21 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The head of the presidium of the Supreme Council of the “Donetsk People’s Republic” Denis Pushilin commented on the accusations made by the “people’s mayor” of Slavyansk Vyacheslav Ponomarev of bribing the leaders of the DPR by Akhmetov and of the artificiality of the special battalion “Vostok”.

As Navigator reported, Ponomarev said that the center of the DPR is Slavyansk, and Donetsk is a mess. The “People's Mayor” criticized the government of the “Donetsk Republic” and promised to restore order in Donetsk. According to him, on April XNUMX, when the Regional State Administration was captured, he and his comrades were going to be disarmed and handed over to the SBU officers.
“This is a judgment that any person can make, whether elected mayor or not. As for Slavyansk and Vyacheslav, it is actually under an information blockade. That is, it is worth taking this reason into account, it is not his fault that now the city itself is besieged, for us these are occupation troops. Not all information reaches him. Plus, it is now superimposed and gives him a reason to think differently - contrary to the actions that are really taking place here - this is a provocation. Because now, recently, it is obvious that there are attempts to pit various groups, the political sector and the security sector against each other. But, one way or another, the goals are the same,” said Pushilin.
“Igor Strelkov, who heads the liberation movement in Slavyansk and throughout the Donetsk People’s Republic, he leads this entire movement, and if you can get in touch with him, then you can’t get in touch with Vyacheslav. Because there is no way to get into the blocked city now, telephone communications are tapped, all this is twisted, dodged and posted on YouTube. Hence such moments that allow such informational videos to appear,” Denis Pushilin explained the conflict of statements.
He also commented on the accusation that among the DPR leadership there are “agents of Taruta and Akhmetov.”
“Actually, he is not that far from it. Because there were plenty of traitors in all processes who prevented the referendum from being held. There were a lot of people, in principle there are now a lot of people, who are interfering and trying to disrupt some processes, to disrupt the meetings of the Supreme Council, to the point that at previous meetings they sprayed gas which - many journalists even encountered this - hurt their eyes,” Pushilin said.
“Such sabotage occurs all the time. And according to our information, there are a number of people, spies of traitors, who are hidden somewhere, showing interest in helping the “Donetsk People’s Republic,” but we know who is behind them and their motives,” assured the Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the DPR.
In addition, he explained the creation of the special battalion “Vostok”, which never reached the aid of the Slavyansk militia.
“In fact, the Vostok battalion performs many functions here. He directly withdrew all units and special forces that were located not only in Donetsk, but also in nearby cities. He withdrew internal troops from the territory of Donetsk, as well as units located in the district. Work is currently underway at the border. With Russia,” Pushilin said.
According to him, he also does not know who made the decision that the DPR center was “moved” to Slavyansk.
Pushilin also commented on the role of the “people’s governor” Pavel Gubarev in current events.
“In fact, Pavel, for security reasons, does not appear in public, but, nevertheless, I am sure that he performs that good function, because the role of all activists directly is important to us. During the time that Paul was imprisoned, his wife served as minister. And now it performs a number of functions. According to my information, Pavel is in a safe place, but not in Slavyansk,” Pushilin said.
One of Ponomarev’s most resonant remarks was the phrase about the need to restore order in Donetsk. The head of the DPR responded to her as follows:
“These are his words. But there is already order here compared to what it was. I won’t say that there is military discipline here, because there are many more groups in the security sector, which we encountered, naturally, because initially, when everything began, there should have been... 80% politicians and 20% security forces. We have a reverse process: 90% security forces and 10% politicians. And it wasn’t always possible to interact. Because for some, the principle of interaction is built on military discipline, and for some chieftains, because groups were created... they studied together somewhere, served, and united like that,” explained Pushilin.
