The management of the Boryspil airport was suspected of corruption worth tens of millions
The prosecutor's office opened a criminal case on the fact of abuses by the management of the Boryspil International Airport during the tender for the reconstruction of terminal D, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is stated in a statement from the press service of the regional prosecutor's office.
According to the prosecutor's office, the Boryspil airport held an open tender for construction work on the reconstruction of terminal "D", in which two business entities took part.
The winner of the tender was determined to be a legal entity that submitted a tender proposal that did not comply with the conditions of the tender documentation established by the customer.
Despite the fact that the construction work on the reconstruction of the passenger terminal relates to the construction of objects with increased danger, the winner of the tender was determined to be a legal entity that has no experience in performing construction work of such complexity.
As noted in the report, the airport’s tender committee, in violation of the requirements of the law in the field of public procurement, concluded an agreement worth more than 47 million hryvnia.
In response to the identified violations, the prosecutor's office initiated criminal proceedings into the fact that the indicated persons committed a criminal offense under Part 2 of Art. 364 (abuse of power or official position) of the Criminal Code.
