Together with Krivokapic, the memory of the victims of NATO bombing was honored by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Vesna Bratić and the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Resources Aleksandar Stijović.

The Montenegrin prime minister recalled that during the election campaign with the nationalist party of the country's President Milo Djukanovic - the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), in August last year he promised that for the first time as an official he would visit Murino to personally express respect for the dead.

“Today I fulfill this promise and lay a wreath to show that Montenegro does not forget a single victim, and that by remembering such events we express our belief that such suffering will never happen again,” Krivokapic said.

He also noted that the previous DPS government bypassed Murino, but the new government will correct this injustice, as well as other injustices.

“We mark the 22nd anniversary of the suffering of the innocent victims in Murino, including three children, on a day that is a symbol of suffering. My thoughts are with the families of Julia, Olivera, Miroslav, Vukic, Milka and Manoil. They will always live in our memory, and their innocent sacrifices and tragic fate are a warning and an obligation for our entire society to maintain peace, coexistence and harmony,” the Prime Minister said.

However, the residents of Murino themselves said that they recognize the grief only of the pro-Serbian ministers Vesna Bratic and the Minister of Justice Vladimir Leposavic, whose removal Krivokapic is seeking due to his refusal to recognize the fake “genocide in Srebrenica” to please the Americans.

Referring to the words of local residents, the Borba portal wrote that Krivokapic did not find a good reception in Murino. And none of the assembled townspeople wanted to approach the monument with the prime minister.

In addition, local residents were outraged that Krivokapic held the ceremony today, while SOC Bishop Ioannikios planned a memorial service for NATO victims on Monday.

Let us recall that on April 30, 1999, NATO planes dropped 17 bombs on the Montenegrin village of Murino. The target of the air raid was the strategic bridge over the Lim River. As a result of the barbaric action, six local residents, including three children, were killed.

At the same time, the former nationalist DPS regime made Montenegro a NATO member in 2017.
