“We announced mobilization. This is not yet a general mobilization. So far we are talking about mobilizing volunteers. There are a lot of volunteers who want to join the armed forces of the DPR and law enforcement agencies. We will free volunteers from working in enterprises where they are employed and join the ranks of the armed forces. The situation requires this,” said DPR Prime Minister Alexander Borodai.
“You know the situation in Slavyansk, in our neighboring “Lugansk People’s Republic”, where heavy fighting is taking place, heavy equipment, artillery, and aviation are being used. And now we are forced, having information that an assault on the city of Donetsk by enemy forces is soon being prepared, we are forced to resort to such a measure as mobilization. We have bases where we can collect, train and train them. Our only serious problem is weapons. But we hope that in the near future we will be able to arm everyone. Some of them will go to Slavyansk, some of them will remain here on the territory of Donetsk and adjacent settlements,” he said, introducing at the same time Deputy Igor Strelkov, who will be responsible for mobilization in the DPR.
“I am Igor Strelkov’s representative here in Donetsk. The purpose of mobilization is that not only the Ukrainian junta is working against us, but also its foreign sponsors, foreign mercenaries. A Ukrainian-Polish-Lithuanian brigade is created. The junta no longer has enough of its own people to fight with us. Under these conditions, we are forced to resort to mobilization,” said DPR Deputy Defense Minister Fedor Berezin.
As Navigator reported, earlier mobilization was announced in the “Luhansk People’s Republic,” where they also assume the possibility of storming the capital of the Lugansk region.
