Deputy head of the SBU Viktor Kononenko stated this at the forum “Ukraine: Striving for Balance,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, no one trusts either the opposition or the authorities, people are tired of war and want stability, so the department does not see a danger to the internal political situation.
“What concerns the internal situation is not related to Russia. Believe me, we do not see any threats to state sovereignty, territorial integrity and the constitutional order here. There is no revolutionary situation in the country. Events show this - any attempts to incite aggression towards the state today do not work. This is due to two factors - unfortunately, people are simply tired, people want to live a calm, normal, protected life. And secondly, people don’t trust anyone, neither the authorities nor the opposition. Therefore, there is no revolutionary situation, we are following the path of evolution and we do not see any threats within the country to the security of the country,” Kononenko said.
