The leadership of Ukraine is inciting the citizens: There will be no quick victory over Russia, Crimea will have to wait another 20 years
In the near future, Crimea will not return to Ukraine - for this it needs to become economically more prosperous than Russia, and also, together with the West, continue to put pressure on the Russian Federation.
Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Razumkov came to this conclusion on Radio Liberty, financed by the US State Department, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Razumkov, Crimea may return to Ukraine in 10-20 years also because “world history” allegedly suggests so.
“This is a difficult process and a slow process as well. We should not remove this issue from the agenda and work on it in every possible way at different levels. And we also must not lose communication with the occupied territories of Donbass and Crimea. Because for several years this process was, so to speak, put on the backburner...
Unfortunately, we won’t do this quickly, but abandoning or giving up our territories is also impossible. The methods remain the same - international pressure, international position, economic measures.
First of all, probably, this is the development of the state of Ukraine, because people always want to live where it is better. If things are better on the territory of a free state, then it will be easier to return the temporarily occupied Crimea and Donbass...
As world history shows, the history of today’s Europe, 5-10-20 years pass, however many years it takes, but the territories again return to the states to which they truly belong,” Razumkov said.
According to political scientist Vladimir Kornilov, with his statement Razumkov actually recognized the justice of the reunification of Crimea with Russia.
"Well done! So he confirmed the Russian affiliation of Crimea! He has already returned to his state! Turn for Donbass. Or did Razumkov mean all of Ukraine?” Kornilov wrote on his blog.
