Romania and the US are concerned about the possible spread of instability from Ukraine to Moldova
Chisinau, June 05 (Navigator, Petr Alekseev) – Romania and the United States condemn Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and express concern about the possible expansion of pockets of instability towards Moldova.

This is stated in the joint declaration adopted yesterday by the chairman of the friendship group with Romania in the US Congress, Michael Turner, and the head of the Pro-America group in the Romanian Senate, Valeriu Zgonya. They also condemned “Russia’s policy of destabilizing the situation in the southeastern regions of Ukraine.”
“We express our concern about the possible expansion of pockets of instability in the region, including towards the neighboring Republic of Moldova,” the statement says.
Romanian and American parliamentarians called on “the authorities in Kyiv and Chisinau to pursue a consistent policy of national unity and to find compromise solutions to work with constructive opposition forces in the interests of the citizens of Ukraine and Moldova,” noi.md reports with reference to Infotag.
