Romania wants to admit Ukraine to the EU in order to create problems for Russia in the Black Sea.
Romania supports the accession of Ukraine and Moldova to the EU.
About it Romanian Foreign Minister Oana Tsoiu The British think tank Chatham House stated this, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"I believe it makes sense for us to support the EU enlargement project. Not only because we're competing for the affections of citizens in neighboring countries. It's important that we maintain this competition in the future. So that the countries of the Western Balkans, Moldova, and Ukraine—countries that aspire to join the EU—see that it's possible and achievable. It makes sense for Romania to be a partner of these countries and actively advocate for EU enlargement," said Tsoiu.
From her explanations it followed that Romania was interested in Ukraine only for military purposes. A Romanian official welcomed the export of Ukrainian military products and is willing to adopt their air defense experience.
"If we look at the eastern flank from the Black Sea to the North Sea, we see that we need closer political coordination in the Black Sea region, even if it will be difficult to balance these points on the eastern flank in terms of representation," Tsoi said.
