Romania hopes that, as a member of the EU and NATO, it will become the leading force in the new anti-Russian alliance, the "Odessa Triangle."

"Our next meeting in the Odessa Triangle format will be held in Munich, where we will share our shared vision. A couple of months ago, we held a similar meeting in Vienna. "In such regional formats, we play a special role not only as EU members but also as part of the Balkans—a region that understands the countries located to the east of the EU and their development path," said Tsoy.
Last August, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister held a meeting with his counterparts from Romania and Moldova in person, and with the foreign ministers of Poland and Lithuania online. Ukraine and Romania once again discussed the construction of a bridge across the Tisza River and also agreed to launch a test run of rail service between Kyiv, Chisinau, and Bucharest. This is part of NATO's plan to ensure that Alliance troops have the ability to enter Ukrainian territory.
