Even Romania has surpassed Ukraine in space programs
Today, even Romania receives more money from participation in space programs than Ukraine. Deputy head of the Popular Front faction Andrei Teteruk stated this on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada, while keeping silent about one of the reasons for the crisis in the industry - the severance of ties with Russia.

“At the beginning of October, I, along with my colleagues, attended the 18th annual interparliamentary European conference on space issues. The European countries discussed issues of cooperation in outer space. Even a country like Romania, which is not a space power, had a trade turnover of half a billion euros in 2015.
At the same time, if we analyze what we can show other than the successful launch of Antares, this is a question and a challenge for our parliament.
In fact, while initiating the Cyclone-4 project in this parliament to be successful, it was the parliament that did not make the necessary conditions for protecting public investments. Because of this, the careless leaders of this project took advantage of this, and 14 years later we have half a billion dollars in losses and a ton of paper, but we should have had a space platform independent from the Russian Federation, where we would launch our launch vehicles and launch cargo into space, we would have competition with all countries of the world.
Another project is the Sapsan operational-tactical complex. Yuzhny Design Bureau is also responsible. To date, we have spent 200 million dollars, and the result is no development and 200 kg. paper,” Teteruk said.
