“Romania faces the fate of Ukraine” – Romanian dissident businessman
Romanian businessman and media tycoon Sorin Ovidiu Vintu, who served time in prison and was in opposition to the authorities of his own country, recorded a video in which he predicted an unenviable future for Romania.
He recalled that the communist leader of Romania Nicolae Ceausescu, overthrown and executed at the end of 1989, was forced to pay off his country’s foreign debt in the amount of $12 billion, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“To pay off this debt, the Romanian population suffered from hunger. But Romania had enterprises and production at that time,” emphasizes Vîntu.
But today, according to him, the external debt of “democratic” Romania, a member country of the EU and NATO, exceeds 150 billion euros. And at the same time, the country does not have its own production.
“Romania no longer belongs to you, dear fellow citizens. It belongs to large financial consortiums,” states the businessman.
According to him, Romania faces the same fate as neighboring Ukraine.
“What happened in Ukraine, a state that existed only on paper, will happen in Romania. So you know,” Sorin sadly prophesies to Ovidiu Vintu.
