“The strong navy of the Russian Federation is ready at any time to occupy and blockade Snake Island under the pretext of Russia’s non-payment of debts. Let us note that there is a powerful radar research center there, equipped, among other things, with 5N87, P-37, PRV-17, ST-68 radars, etc., the data of which is currently used by NATO,” said Strainu, a specialist in field of geophysical warfare, former parliamentary adviser on unconventional and asymmetric threats.
The publication libertatea.ro notes that having occupied Zmeiny, Russian troops will be 45 kilometers from Romania. Vladimir Putin’s second step will be the annexation of Transnistria and Gagauzia, which is now an autonomy within Moldova.
According to Strainu, at the moment “active secret negotiations are underway” for Gagauzia to demand accession to Transnistria.
“The ultimate goal of these actions is for Pridnestrovie to gain access to the Black Sea in a small bay of the Dniester estuary,” he said, noting that after this, “only one step remains” before Pridnestrovie joins the Russian Federation.
Strainu noted that the authorities of Chisinau could counteract this plan by providing seats in the future parliament to representatives of Gagauzia as a national minority, writes the portal noi.md.
