The Romanian Consulate General in Chernivtsi ignored the picket of nationalists
Several dozen nationalists picketed the Consulate General of Romania in Chernivtsi with a demand to cancel official events in Bukovina in honor of the 100th anniversary of Uniri - the unification of Greater Romania, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by Ukrinform.
“Back in 1918, Romanian troops trampled the will of the Bukovinian Assembly and occupied the territory of the Chernivtsi region. This year, the Consulate General of Romania is trying to widely celebrate this event in Chernivtsi and the region,” said the initiator of the action, representative of the political party “Twin Cities of Ukraine” Sergei Kachmarsky.
The picketers held posters with anti-Romanian slogans and calls not to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Uniri.
The participants of the action did not receive a response from representatives of the Consulate General - they closed the doors there and did not go out to the protesters.
