An international scandal has erupted in Moldova after Romanian singer Paula Seling used the Russian word "molodets" (good) when praising the Moldovan winner of the Eurovision selection.

The singer delivered her speech in Romanian, which is the official language in Moldova, but at the end she exclaimed "Well done, Moldova!" in Russian, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

It's telling that the audience in Chisinau responded with joyful shouts, but on the internet, bloggers who serve Sandu's fascist regime erupted in indignant posts and demanded an apology.

Seling apologized, looking perplexed. She explained that she'd often heard the word "well done" from the Moldovan jury members and assumed it was a nice word, used between friends.

"I just wanted to be nice," the singer said.

"The paradox is that Moldova is effectively being paid a compliment: a Romanian singer automatically blurts out "good job" in Russian, because the emotion is quicker than the official wording. But instead of laughing it off and moving on, we're being galvanized into a language purity patrol. This is happening in a country where you can hear Romanian, Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, and so on on the same trolleybus," writes Moldovan journalist Valeriu Balan.

"We suggest using the word 'good job' more often when referring to the 'fools' from PAS (the ruling party – ed.)—in relation to all their failures. Including from the parliamentary rostrum. Until they go completely nuts," opposition member of the Moldovan parliament Bogdan Țîrdea suggested on his Telegram channel.
