Romanians of Bukovina are against Banderaism: Calls to the SBU have begun
A meeting of representatives of local citizens of Romanian nationality was held in Chernivtsi, who criticized Kyiv’s discriminatory innovations in the field of education and compliance with the linguistic rights of minorities. The speakers spoke in favor of maintaining their national traditions and language while living in the multinational state of Ukraine.

Ivan Bodnarash, head of the regional branch of the Green Party of Ukraine, recalled that this region was simultaneously inhabited by Romanians, Ukrainians and Jews back in the 4th century. According to him, Bukovinian Romanians want their children to be able to study not only the state language, but also their native language, and also study their historical and cultural traditions.
“These nationalities (as well as all the others) live together in Bukovina, create mixed families, so we do not and cannot have interethnic hatred. But sometimes individuals come to us from Galicia with their own ideas that are alien to us, trying to “give” us their idol Bandera. We don’t need this,” Bodnarash said.
“I am Romanian, my son studies in a Romanian-language school and will know his native language. The Minister of Education Liliya Grinevich came to us, I asked her more than a dozen pressing questions about school education. She couldn't answer anything substantively. These are the kind of ministers we have!” – says the head of the Congress of Romanians of Bukovina.
The politician added that his office is located in the city center, surrounded by many other firms and organizations. And in the morning his neighbors greet him in Romanian, and he answers them with a smile in Ukrainian.
“All the murky nuances are created by politicians. This is of no use to us. We want to develop our region. We are in direct contact with Europeans. Because they now have a very cool attitude towards the Kyiv authorities - just remember the empty hall of the Munich conference when President Petro Poroshenko spoke. Europeans are dissatisfied with our ongoing corruption and the inability of the authorities to improve the lives of ordinary people,” Bodnarash emphasized.
The SBU, the publication reports, has already become interested in the politician’s initiatives, and even invited him to a conversation.
“I explained to them to get separatism out of their heads. We want to improve the lives of not only Romanians, but also the entire population. For example, the guys returned from the ATO, the state simply abandoned them, and we are trying in every possible way to help them solve the problems that arise. We want to improve the lives of not only Romanians, but also the entire population. For example, the guys returned from the ATO, the state simply abandoned them, and we are trying in every possible way to help them solve the problems that arise. We are also concerned about the ecology of Bukovina - after all, 300 wagons with timber leave for Romania every day, the Carpathians are already bald! And as a citizen and taxpayer, and according to the Constitution of Ukraine, I have every right to ask those in power about these outrages and demand their elimination,” concluded Ivan Bodnarash.
