Turchinov's mouthpiece: Debaltsevo showed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces can resist regular Russian troops
Kyiv, March 20 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – In Debaltsevo, the Ukrainian army resisted, and successfully, regular Russian units at the level of battalion-tactical groups, Yuriy Butusov, editor of the Ukrainian news site “Censor.net”, said at a round table in Kiev, control over which is attributed to the Secretary of the Security Council Alexander Turchinov.

“The battles in Debaltsevo showed that we can fight, and resist, among other things, regular Russian units. But, given the fact that Russia is using regular troops there and is already operating with forces no less than the level of battalion-tactical groups, we must understand that during the summer campaign our enemy will conduct combat operations with units at the level of no less than a company-tactical group, battalion-tactical group which are strengthened by interaction with self-propelled artillery, rocket artillery, and armored units,” Butusov said at a round table dedicated to increasing the defense capability of the Ukrainian army.
Let us recall that the Ukrainian side officially acknowledged the death of several dozen military personnel in Debaltseve, however, according to the DPR, we are talking about several thousand dead. The commander of the Prizrak brigade, Alexei Mozgovoy, stated that the militia also suffered heavy losses.
