“Maidan came out solely against corruption and lawlessness of the authorities, which did not take into account the opinion of the majority of Ukrainians. Putin turned the idea of Maidan into anti-Russian sentiment. Here at the table with me are people who were at the Maidan. They will confirm everything to you: there were no anti-Russian sentiments on the Maidan. This was Maidan for Ukraine, in no way against the Russians.
