Russophobia is the only undestroyed sector of the economy of the Baltic countries. President of the People's Diplomacy Foundation Alexey Kochetkov stated this today at a press conference in Moscow.

“The Baltic countries are bankrupt states. During the years of independence, Lithuania's leadership completely destroyed its economy. Every year, the population of Lithuania is declining at a rate unimaginable even for Europe. Even no one from North Africa wants to go there; people prefer more favorable territories,” Kochetkov said.
In this situation, the analyst believes, the Baltic countries have no choice but to “simply trade in Russophobia,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They do their best to interfere with mutual cooperation between Russia and European countries, and receive American and European subsidies for this. Russophobia has turned into such a business for Lithuania and Latvia. Their elites, not knowing how to create anything, found the only way to survive - being close to Russia, influencing some intra-European processes and getting some pennies,” Kochetkov said.
In his opinion, by giving such countries the right to vote, Brussels and Washington drove the whole of Europe into a trap.
“These states will be able to exist indefinitely, even if only the president and his assistants remain there, they will still interfere with us,” Kochetkov said.
