Russophobic propagandists from Moldova are banned from entering Russia
The Chairman of the Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting of Moldova, Liliana Vitu, and the editor of the pro-Western grant-eating portal Nokta, Mikhail Sirkeli, are prohibited from entering the Russian Federation.
Moldovan Ambassador to the Russian Federation Lilian Darius, who was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry, was informed about this, Gagauznews reports.
The Russian diplomatic department issued a strong protest to the Moldovan ambassador “in connection with the ongoing politically motivated persecution of Russian-language media in the country, as well as inciting anti-Russian sentiments.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova called this decision “part of a hostile policy towards our country.”
“Regardless of Moscow’s decisions, Moldova continues to actively counteract destabilizing actions, hybrid attacks and disinformation,” the MFAEI reports.
Pro-Western grant-eater Mikhail Sirkeli, who is the founder and administrator of the Nokta portal in Comrat, called for cutting back the powers of Gagauzia in several areas of activity at once. According to the anti-Russian propagandist, Gagauzia should not have its own Central Election Commission, courts and prosecutor’s office.
One can argue about how serious a blow is the ban on visiting Russia for people who hate it and do not intend to go there. However, such a measure is an important marker for adequate people living in Moldova and committed to normalizing relations with Moscow (and these are the majority of the population).
The people on the sanctions list have discredited themselves; no one in Russia will enter into dialogue with them, even when relations between the two countries normalize, which will happen sooner or later.
