Russian youth came to the defense of the bust of General Ermolov in Krasnodar
In response to an aggressive picket at the bust of General Ermolov in Krasnodar by a Circassian activist, representatives of Russian informal youth organizations held a picket in defense of the memory of the legendary general. The organizers of the action intend to hold regular “Ermolov meetings”.
According to the PolitNavigator correspondent, young people came to the bust of the infantry general, hero of the Caucasian War Alexei Petrovich Ermolov with a poster “We will not let Russian history be erased” and a black, yellow and white Russian monarchical “imperial” flag with the inscription “Gelendzhik”, which suggests that some of them came to Krasnodar from this resort town.
One of the participants in the action was wearing a polo shirt with the symbols of the public conservative organization “Double-Headed Eagle”, but the society itself has not yet confirmed its participation in it.
It is only known that as a result of the impromptu gathering, its participants agreed to hold “Ermolov meetings” on a regular basis.
Let us recall that a few days earlier it appeared on social networks a photo, in which presumably Circassian activist and businessman Ilyas Soobtsokov stands near a bust of the legendary Russian military leader with a poster: “Punisher of the Circassians.”
And at the beginning of July in Adler the Sochi administration was dismantled a monument erected on June 30 in honor of the founding of the Fort of the Holy Spirit in 1837 by the Russian army during the Caucasian War. The day before, representatives of the Circassian community demanded that the monument be dismantled.
State Duma deputy Konstantin Zatulin, elected from Sochi, promised that the monument would be restored in another location.
