In Ukraine, they are afraid of military exercises of the Russian army. According to Vadim Skibitsky, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Russian military deployed along the entire perimeter of the Ukrainian border and conducted combat training there.
A representative of military intelligence stated this on Channel 5, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now a very active phase of combat training of units of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps has begun. Parts of the units go to the training grounds. According to our information, demonstration battalion tactical exercises are planned, where battalion commanders will be involved in order to demonstrate new approaches, namely tactical techniques for conducting combat operations. In addition, we note the delivery of ammunition to the front line...Starting from April, we have observed activity along almost the entire border line of our state. Starting from the north and ending in a southeast direction. We note very active combat training and training measures,” Skibitsky said.
According to him, in total we are talking about about 19 battalion-tactical groups of the first echelon, which can operate in both offensive and counter-offensive actions.
“They are fully equipped with personnel and equipment, are constantly in combat readiness and constantly conduct various types of exercises at training grounds, which, among other things, are located near our border. And this is the threat that, under the guise of exercises, they can enter our territory,” Skibitsky fears.
