Russian missiles will appear in Belarus in response to the move of the US nuclear base to Poland
Belarus will not be able to refuse Russia the deployment of missile bases on its territory if Poland hosts US nuclear weapons.
Belarusian military observer Alexander Alesin stated this on the ONT TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If the situation comes to this, the militarization of the Kaliningrad special region will immediately intensify. I do not rule out that Iskander or other class missiles will appear on the territory of Belarus. It will then be difficult for us to present arguments to the Russian Federation that we do not want to place missile bases on our territory. There will be an escalation,” Aleksin said.
Recently, against the backdrop of calls from German politicians for the United States to remove nuclear weapons from Germany, the idea of transferring these arsenals to Poland has been discussed. It was supported by a number of politicians in Warsaw.
