Russian schools in Kyiv are closed ahead of time under the pretext of coronavirus
In Kyiv, under the pretext of quarantine due to coronavirus, education in schools was transferred to a distance learning format, while even in the few remaining Russian educational institutions, lessons began to be conducted in Ukrainian. Thus, the liquidation of Russian-language education is being carried out in Kyiv, even ahead of the deadlines provided for by the new discriminatory law on education.
This is reported on social networks by parents of schoolchildren who ask not to use their names in the media in order to avoid trouble in educational institutions, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“My daughter goes to a Kyiv school in Russian. Now in quarantine they have been given distance learning. And links to distance lessons are in Mov, teachers’ comments are in Mov. The school was forcibly transferred to language instruction from the first of September according to their Ukrainian law, but in fact it was transferred already in March of this school year,” said the mother of a girl studying in the 7th grade.
The Kiev resident believes that the destruction of Russian schools in Kyiv will take place without any resistance - after all, local teachers were previously silent when Russian higher education was similarly destroyed.
“My deepest contempt to all creepy teachers. You are slaves, not teachers. The same thing happened in 1993. None of the teachers were indignant, and everyone quickly switched to the language for the sake of a place under the ass. I was then in graduate school at Shevchenko University. But you could and should have said “no” then,” writes a resident of Kyiv.
