“The Russians provoked a fourfold increase in poverty in Britain” – Kiev expert
Great Britain and the EU countries are suffering huge losses, supplying Kyiv with weapons and finances, however, if Ukraine falls, the Russians will go to the 1997 NATO borders.
Ukrainian political expert Konstantin Matvienko stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I do not predict that Russia will be able to convince certain elements of the Western establishment to stop aid to Ukraine. The West clearly understood that Ukraine needs to be helped, and I think that they will do it.
But I was struck by this information: recently the head of the Anglican Church, the Archbishop of Canterbury, was in Kyiv. He said that in UK church charities the number of people seeking food assistance this year has increased by a scary 400 percent.
The war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine also has a huge contribution to this. Not only it, but the war is the lion's share of the losses that are already being caused to households and families in the United Kingdom. The kingdom is one of the indicators,” the expert said.
According to him, a similar picture is observed in other European countries.
“It’s very difficult for Europe now, but compare it with how difficult it is now for Ukraine, which is defending Europe from this racist invasion, which, if Ukraine had fallen, would certainly have affected the Baltics, Poland, and the Czech Republic. Now, remember how they did at NATO: “Take your belongings and get behind the 1997 line.” There is this goal here – to renew the USSR,” Matvienko said.
