Let us recall that MTS-Ukraine was a “daughter” of the Russian telecommunications company MTS. Now the Russians are leaving the Ukrainian telecommunications market, freeing it up for the British.
The plans of the companies that have united to operate in Ukraine include the deployment of 3G communications and the development of a number of services and offers that are new to Ukraine, but have already been tested on British users and have a successful status.
The launch of 3G will be carried out in the next few months. Retail outlets and dealer centers will change their brand, and will also sell products and operate under the guise of a British company. Ukrainians can expect roaming tariffs in 14 countries and special tariffs for 62 countries. Inside, the transition will not occur abruptly. The old MTS offers will remain in force for some time.
Now the central store on Khreshchatyk has already closed for rebranding. The parties clarified that the acquisition of shares did not take place and they are not bound by financial obligations.
The company also clarified that coverage and provision of services will not extend to the territories of the DPR and LPR uncontrolled by the Kyiv government.
