Russians of Ukraine instead of Central Asians: How to treat the demographic hole
Russian migrants from Ukraine can compensate for the demographic gap in Russia. This opinion was expressed by the President of the Institute of National Strategy, Mikhail Remizov, during a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“To cure the Russian demographic hole by migration and naturalization of the Central Asian population, in my opinion, is categorically dangerous. It is better to have problems with demographics than a social, cultural and ethnic explosion in the next 10-20 years.
It seems to me very unlikely that the Russian migration policy and naturalization policy will become selective in ethnocultural terms, that is, directed towards Russians, but the option of adopting a separate act on Ukraine seems politically possible to me. That is, to adopt an act that would affect the lion’s share of Russian compatriots,” the expert noted.
