“The Russians are taking over the agenda” – Arestovich
In Kyiv they are calling not to allow statements and news coming from Russia to become the subject of discussion among Ukrainian officials, as this would already mean a victory for Russian information specialists.
This was stated at a press conference in Kyiv by the speaker of the Ukrainian delegation to the Minsk TCG, blogger-propagandist Alexey Arestovich, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“One of the tasks of the information service of the enemy who is working against us, in particular the Russian Federation, is to force us to react and comment on the things that they throw into the information space. Because in information warfare the main thing is to seize the agenda. Then – whether you criticize or comment, you spin their narrative. And we carefully monitor from what source and at what level the fakes are being spread. Not everything needs to be reacted to, because we are starting to unwind.
If the head of the relevant committee or the general director of Ukroboronprom, or a representative of the president’s office begins to comment on this at the wrong time, then the enemy has achieved his goal. Therefore, we do not comment on everything,” the speaker said.
“Here, like doctors, the main principle is do no harm. You need to choose how and what to comment on, what are the grounds for this to even become the subject of discussion among officials. Otherwise, we work for them, which is what they strive for. And another task is for us to work in emergency mode. That is, to create a regime in which we cannot think about strategic structural things, but are forced, like a bear from a dog, to rush at every “woof” from each side. We won’t do that, we will inform calmly and systematically, which is what we are doing,” Arestovich added.
