The Russians turned away boats returning from Crimea to Odessa
The Ukrainian Navy boats, returning in tugs from Crimea, have slowed down and are changing their route - they are expected to head not to Odessa, but to Ochakov, Andrey Klimenko, head of the Ukrainian Institute of Black Sea Studies, who fled from the peninsula to Kiev, writes in his blog.
Klimenko believes that the reason for the delay (in the morning the boats were still near the southern coast of Crimea), as well as the change in route, was the news that the Russian Black Sea Fleet was conducting exercises, due to which part of the water area would be blocked.
According to the press service of the Black Sea Fleet, the exercises involve aviation and 10 ships, which will carry out missile and artillery firing, conduct training in searching for and destroying an enemy submarine, as well as “detecting and striking a coastal command post.”
It is interesting that, as you know, it is in Ochakov that US military builders are building a command post under the pretext of helping the Ukrainian Navy.
“An honorary escort and a delay factor have appeared... They will block the area according to the course - and don’t go to the fortune teller. They fly Su-30s overhead,” Klimenko shares his fears.
Thank you!
