“Russian Bloc”: “Regionals” are ready to surrender Sevastopol to Bandera’s supporters
Sevastopol, February 23 (Navigator, Elena Ostryakova) - Chairman of the Russian Bloc party Gennady Basov sharply criticized the indecisiveness of his colleagues in the Sevastopol City Council (the Party of Regions has an overwhelming majority here), who did not dare to create an executive committee (according to the current legislation, an executive body in Sevastopol is the state administration).

The City Council limited itself to the decision to hold a referendum on the possibility of creating an executive committee.
“Now such events are taking place in Ukraine that while preparations for this referendum continue, Bandera’s supporters will already come. A new Gauleiter will come here, more serious, more vile and disgusting. This will have very serious consequences for the residents of Sevastopol. It is necessary to make responsible decisions and form executive structures, pose the question to the security forces whether they are ready to go over to the side of the people or will carry out the decrees of illegal structures in Kyiv,” Basov said from the podium of the session.
The leader of the Russian Bloc also stated the need to equip and arm the self-defense units being created in the city.
“Now we must all consolidate and unite. It's too late to make a claim. We must take tough, energetic measures to ensure that we can defend the city. Already now we need to think about how, if bandits and criminals come here, to arm and equip members of self-defense units. Already now we need to think about helmets, batons, and bats. Tomorrow will be late. Look what’s happening in Lugansk and Kharkov,” Basov said.
