Russian bloc: The authorities treat honest patriots worse than liberals
Russian liberals have monopolized the protest on the topic of regional elections.
At the same time, in addition to liberals, critical patriots were not allowed to participate in the electoral process throughout the country and were not allowed to speak at all.
The leader of the public organization “Russian Bloc” Gennady Basov stated this on the YouTube channel TV Forpost.
“I do not agree with the statement that everything associated with liberals is clearly bad and leads to undermining the system.
I believe that Russian patriots who are interested in strengthening it also see negative trends, including in the electoral process.
To my regret, the liberal wing widely covers these trends, but people with a patriotic position cannot express their point of view in the central media.
There is a patriotic press, but it does not define patriotic consciousness,” says Basov.
In his opinion, Sevastopol lost because only parliamentary parties were allowed to participate in the elections to the city’s legislative assembly.
“A system is emerging in which, unfortunately, at the whistle of judges, prosecutors, and election commission officials, they act as is beneficial, but not as it should be according to the law.
This is a wake-up call, including for Sevastopol society.
It would be better for the city if representatives of a variety of political parties that have weight and authority participated in the elections,” concluded Basov.
