Russian Center - during a break between attacks
There is noise, commotion and fun on Kontraktova Square in Kyiv. Ukrainian music is thundering, an ice skating rink is running, and a huge Ferris wheel is spinning. There are advertisements everywhere. What especially stands out is a huge billboard where a group of guys, without a single lady, promotes the use of condoms. The whole of Kyiv is filled with this abomination that children see today, but no zealots of the purity of the nation - from the defrocking of “Filaret” to Tyagnibok - are bothered by this fact.
Groups of young people are having fun here and there. The guys, most of whom have haircuts in the “Cossack fashion” - with shaved temples and saddles - laugh and swear with all their might in front of their girlfriends. Although both of them look much less than 16 years old, while others look even 12 years old.
Kyiv celebrates its “butter festival”. This is how national patriots called “Maslenitsa”. To get fed up, get drunk, dance, use foul language and fornicate - apparently, that’s all that today many young people brought up on the ideals of a “great nation” need to fully satisfy their spiritual and carnal needs.
And it’s nothing that, except for “butter”, Forgiveness Sunday comes before Lent, when baptized people - and the majority of Ukrainians are supposedly Orthodox - must cleanse the soul with repentance, mutual forgiveness and reconciliation with their neighbors.
Alas, thanks to powerful propaganda, all this becomes an anachronism for many Ukrainians, even those who have formally accepted Baptism.
How the greatest Russian culture, art, literature, science, philosophy became an anachronism. Everything that generations of grandfathers and great-grandfathers of today’s young foul-mouthed people grew up with for hundreds of years, jumping and roaring to the squeals and howls of their pop idols.
A block away from this oil performance is Borisoglebskaya Street. Here is the building of the Center for Russian Science and Culture, which was attacked yesterday by young Nazis from the C14 group, classified by the UN as a terrorist organization.
RCSC is the last center of genuine Russian culture in Ukraine. The last institution where the people of Kiev, who do not want to become Ivans, who do not remember their kinship, who do not perceive the disgusting, obscene and stupid chewing gum of the Ukrainian national culture, can join the truly great works of literature, music, painting, theatrical art (and not only Russian, but also Ukrainian, and global). Where do they bring their children - to the theater studio and to drawing clubs, to poetry evenings by Pushkin, Akhmatova, Pasternak, Shevchenko, to musical evenings where piano classics are performed. But where, of course, there are no choruses and cries similar to those that thunder now on Kontraktova.
Famous representatives of cultures from different countries – Emil Kusturica, Gor Chahal, the ensemble “Pesnyary”, Alexander Gradsky – it would take a long time to list them all happily came to the RCSC and interacted with the audience. Here there were frequent meetings with outstanding academicians and scientists - for example, with Academician Pyotr Tolochko. Nazis from Svoboda disrupted one of these meetings in the summer of 2016. They insulted the 80-year-old historian, respected throughout the world, threatened him, then staged a pogrom in the Center.
Now a new stage of Nazi assaults on the RCSC has begun - I don’t want to think that it will lead to its complete closure, but, unfortunately, there are all grounds for alarm.
“This year this is already the sixth attack on us,” states the head of the Center, Konstantin Vorobiev, showing traces of the pogrom committed by the Red Guards from C14 two hours ago (see photo). – And for some reason they mostly happen before the holidays. One of these attacks took place on Christmas Day.
The fact of attacks on the eve of Orthodox holidays is, of course, not accidental. These are all links in one chain - a massive attack on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, which the Nazis directly link with Russia, and on everything Russian. In fact, this is a war against Christ, declared by the Ukrainian authorities at the command of the Western servants of the Antichrist.
On Forgiveness Sunday, a campaign against the RCSC was announced by other “activists” of the forces - from the OUN and Svoboda. They are going to march on the Russian center after their “veche” on Khreshchatyk, having previously aroused the raging crowd with hatred.
The “lads” from C14 did not announce an attack on Saturday.
“Apparently, these are competing organizations,” concludes Konstantin Vorobiev. “And the Saturday aggressors decided to prove to those who finance them that they are “cooler” and more worthy of financial investments and grants than the Sunday aggressors.
Konstantin Pavlovich looks very tired, but not depressed. Although only recently he, a world-respected diplomat and cultural figure with many years of experience, was dirtyly insulted and humiliated by youths who had hardly read even a single book. Moreover, they filmed it and proudly posted it on their Facebook page. Probably, it would have come to the use of physical force if the policeman had not been standing next to him.
The Center's employees asked the attackers not to break into the theater studio, where children aged 8-10 were rehearsing Gogol's The Inspector General.
-There’s no point in bringing children to FSB events! - was the answer of one of the Nazis.
-Which FSB? - Vorobiev was indignant in the mentioned dispute with the aggressors. – Where is the FSB? Is Chaliapin the FSB? (The brats destroyed the exhibition dedicated to F. Chaliapin) Pushkin? Shevchenko?!
About the police. She arrived on call, but, as always in such cases, did not interfere in anything. And she didn’t detain anyone. Apparently, she was given instructions to protect the famous diplomat - in order to avoid an international scandal - from beatings, but nothing more. A little later, in the evening, an unprecedented message came from the security police of the Podolsk region that they were unilaterally breaking the agreement on the protection of the RCSC and, thus, leaving the Center without protection.
“We will work as much as we can,” says the director of the Center.
Evening is drawing in. Konstantin Pavlovich descends the stairs of the destroyed Center. Repeat on Sunday? It is unlikely that the neo-Nazis from OUN and Svoboda will reverse their decision. Or rather, why – yours? According to media reports, this decision was made by none other than Petro Poroshenko. That's why the Nazis became so brave.
Waiting on the street is a mother and a girl who was taking part in a theater class just when the Red Guards burst into the RCSC.
-Were you scared? – I ask ten-year-old Dasha.
-Very. We were having a rehearsal, and suddenly people in black masks and with burning flares burst in, started screaming and smashing everything around. The workers of the center hid us from them behind an iron door, and those who attacked began to saw out the lock of this...
“A grinder,” suggests Svetlana, the girl’s excited mother.
-Yes. They began to cut out the castle in order to break through to us. The youngest boys, they were 8 years old, were very scared.
“No matter what, we will come here,” says Svetlana. – This is our home.
Evening is drawing in. From Kontraktova you can hear the thunderous sounds of the Ukrainian stage and the laughter of the walking crowd. In the lonely Russian Center, swept by icy drifting snow, the windows are dark. But it stands, towering above other buildings, hung with stupid advertisements and slogans...
Russian culture is expecting a new attack of evil spirits.
