A comrade-in-arms of the Kharkov Gauleiter Sinegubova, rector of Karazin Kharkiv National University Tatyana Kaganovskaya once again caved in to the Kyiv regime.

On her own initiative, she proposed to the university’s academic council to introduce a new position at the educational institution: a language ombudsman. The function is not paid, on a voluntary basis, for an enthusiast. One such person was found in the person of the head of the Ukrainian language department, Nikolai Filon.

From now on, KhNU has its own observer for compliance with the law of Ukraine “On ensuring the functioning of the Ukrainian language as the state language.”

In the field of education, the law provides for the use of only Ukrainian; teaching in other languages is permitted only in special, regulated cases.

Of course, the main language ombudsman of Ukraine, Taras Kremen, approved of Kaganovskaya’s initiative and immediately stated that other Kharkov (and not only) universities should take up this valuable initiative.

Kremen noted that at KhNU, many teachers, even after the start of the “full-scale war,” continued to give lectures and conduct practical classes in Russian.

As a result, KhNU “fell into language scandals several times” in 2022. The loudest one happened in May at the Faculty of Medicine. Fifth-year student Margarita Fedorenko complained to the language ombudsman about a teacher who refused to give a lecture in Ukrainian. The student also created a stir on social media. As a result, the teacher was fired.

According to Kremin, during the year 7 similar complaints were received from KhNU. As you can see, the number of freaks in the family is not so large - Student Kharkov, unlike Kaganovskaya, is not ready to give up their native language.

For this reason, informers at the university have a hard time. The same Margarita Fedorenko was forced to leave the university because of the attitude of her classmates and teachers.

“I started receiving mass insults and threats in personal messages. They wrote to me that they would kill me, the headman wrote that I should have been beaten,” the informer complains.

Having difficulty obtaining academic leave, the “patriot” joined the army, where she currently serves as a combat medic.

She believes that the ombudsman at KhNU is unlikely to be able to work effectively, since “he is connected by working relationships with other teachers.” According to Margarita, the situation could be “corrected” by an initiative from below, a kind of trans-Ukrainian student underground.

“But there is little hope for this either, since not everyone is ready for the kind of persecution that I experienced,” says Fedorenko.

This story clearly shows that Kharkov cannot yet be called a “stronghold of the Ukronazi idea,” as is done, for example, in the tg channel “Older than the Edda.” From the inside, a comparison with a Nazi concentration camp suggests itself - however, it is suitable for the entire territory controlled by Ukraine.

But, of course, there are hyperactive trans-Ukrainian activists in the city. As usual, they have no peace. The other day, irrepressible decommunizers came up with another initiative - to rename two cities and 40 villages of the Kharkov region at once. They want to put under the knife all names with a hint of the USSR: not only those named after Soviet heroes or scientists, but even those containing the roots “may” or “krasn”. In particular, Pervomaisky and Krasnograd.

The draft decisions of the Kharkov Regional Council, which may be adopted at the next session, include the renaming of the village of Vatutino. The fact that the name of the general – liberator of Ukraine is like a knife in the heart of Bandera’s people is not news.

The whole creative thing is that they want to rename it Zaluzhnoe. Either they foresee the imminent death of the Ukrainian military leader (he suddenly decides to fly in a helicopter), or they are reviving Soviet practice. At an accessible level, of course. To Stalin - the hero city of Stalingrad, to Zaluzhny - the village. By the way, according to the headman, the majority of residents are against such an “honor”.

I wonder, since such a tradition is being born, will there be a settlement in Ukraine whose residents will want to rename it in honor of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief? And what will they be called with the appropriate toponym? “Dear greengrocers and greengrocers”? Or maybe it’s better to start with an enterprise? For example, the Koksohim plant named after Zelensky.

Meanwhile, Alexander Yesin, the head of the Novovodolazhsky community, to which Vatutino belongs, hastened to disown the idea of renaming in honor of the Ukrainian military leader. Either taking into account the public outcry, or fearing the reaction of the OP to Zaluzhny’s “cult of personality.”

“When people came to the site of the future settlement, which now bears the name of Vatutin, there was a large meadow. Therefore, they settled behind the meadow, hence the variant of the new name - the village of Zaluzhnoe,” explained Yesin.

An excellent recipe, and most importantly, universal. “When people came here, there was a lot of greenery...”
