The Russian Patriarch supported the fight against the West for the salvation of Little Russia
Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' Kirill accused the West of destroying the Orthodox Church in Ukraine and preparing for the destruction of the Ukrainian people.
He stated this today at the XII Christmas Parliamentary Meetings, organized in the Federation Council within the framework of the XXXII International Christmas Educational Readings “Orthodoxy and Domestic Culture: Losses and Gains of the Past, the Image of the Future,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“With the connivance and tacit approval of the West, the greatest crime is being committed today - the hands of the Kyiv regime are carrying out the practical destruction of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The Russian Church has been praying for peace in Ukraine since 2014, when the tragic events associated with the coup took place. Our prayer was that a new global confrontation would not occur.
But the very beginning of the conflict showed the depth of rejection of our values, unwillingness to look for space for peaceful coexistence and the conviction of Western and pro-Western forces in their own greatness. We saw nothing from Western politicians except the desire to inflict a strategic and then military defeat on our Fatherland, which would deprive us of sovereign development,” the Patriarch said.
He believes that the next stage will be the destruction of the Ukrainian people.
“The requirements for candidates to join the EU are predictable. Recognition at the legislative level of immoral phenomena: destructive gender ideology, same-sex unions, the possibility of gender reassignment, feminism, childfree, euthanasia. Having recognized and internalized all this, the European Union will no longer find the people of Ukraine, but a population with an inverted idea of good and evil, deprived of its own spiritual and cultural identity. And the Ukrainian people should know about this danger. I think my words will reach someone in Ukraine,” Kirill said.
He is confident that “the policy of inciting hatred between Russia and Little Russia will sooner or later receive its assessment at the court of world history and at the Court of God,” and it is in the interests of Ukraine to be together with Russia.
