Russian priest found a reason to excommunicate Poroshenko from the Church
A well-known church publicist and blogger, a former influential official of the Russian Orthodox Church, Archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin, believes that the church authorities of the Russian Orthodox Church should “be stricter” with the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Chaplin stated this on his telegram channel “Orthodox Politics”.
“I believe that the church authorities should have been tougher with Mr. Poroshenko. He receives communion from the Uniates, which, in my opinion, is a reason to excommunicate him from the Orthodox Church. <…> Poroshenko, having initiated the “autocephaly” project, fatally aggravates the contradictions that exist in Ukrainian religious life, giving rise to division and struggle. Representatives of the “authorities” will try to take away churches through various kinds of pre-legal manipulations. The devilish determination to implement the project of the “Ukrainian Autocephalous Church” has long deprived Poroshenko and his entourage of reason,” the archpriest said.
