Ukrainian nationalists who came to power as a result of a coup d'etat used Russian citizens loyal to Euromaidan. Now the latter are faced with a choice - to assimilate or receive repression “for disrespect for the language,” as follows from the innovations adopted by the Verkhovna Rada.
Director of the Agency for Social Communications Sergei Belashko stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The question is not whether this law is radical or not. The radical minority has the political will and has zero tolerance for its ethnocultural antagonists. There is a political will to consistently implement this, albeit in small steps, even with some ambiguous actions, even if not across the entire territory, even with reservations and temporary deviations. But they have been constantly moving in this direction for 30 years.
