“The trend has been picked up all over the world. The flash mob is gaining more and more participants. Among those noted recently are Norway, Canada, Great Britain, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and Estonia. Listen, we don’t have that many hackers,” Zakharova said.

Thus, the Norwegian police security service stated that the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the armed forces, the state office for nuclear and radiation safety, as well as the Workers' Party of Norway, one of the universities and even the police service itself were subjected to a cyber attack by “Kremlin hackers”.

“Although the investigation has not been completed, all the “prizes” have already been distributed, and the culprit has already been found. All this is unproven and unfounded. It cannot be verified because it is not recorded anywhere,” noted a representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

In the Netherlands, a number of experts claim that the outbuilding of the government-parliamentary complex, where the prime minister's office is located, was attacked by hackers. This is associated with the upcoming parliamentary elections in March, although no facts are provided.

“Everything is adding up. Russian hackers are a phenomenon that feeds on parliamentary and presidential elections. Based on the election results, it will be possible to judge the participation of Russian hackers in this process,” Zakharova sneers.

According to her, one of the former leaders in the CIA spoke about a cyber threat to Canada from Russia, and the British Minister of Defense spoke about the attacks that had already taken place on Bulgaria, the Netherlands, France, Germany and Montenegro.

“In the 21st century, hacker threats are measured according to the following principle: the more totalitarian a country is, the more likely it is to engage in state hacking. Then you can look for something about hackers from Machiavelli. Nobody knows where the attacks are coming from, but everyone knows who it is and how to fight them, and how much additional money needs to be allocated for this,” Zakharova said.

At the same time, she noted, the German press writes that the security check did not reveal the presence of hackers. Zakharova explains this by saying that in Germany they are afraid of undermining the legitimacy of their elections.
