Russian will become the norm for Ukraine - Galician writer
Despite all the efforts of the dominant propaganda in Ukraine, the country still remains heavily dependent on Russia.
Ivano-Frankivsk writer Taras Prokhasko stated this in a commentary to the Kyiv magazine “Novoe Vremya”, answering the question whether he likes the direction where Ukraine is moving.
“I don’t like where the country is going. And the worst thing is that, according to my feelings, this movement seems to be accelerating. But I don’t know whether this is the fault of specific people, or a global trend. Specifically, I don’t like the fact that, despite all the events of recent years, attempts at propaganda or, if you like, education, Ukraine still has a strong dependence on Russia. And first of all mental. And I also don’t like that Ukraine is losing its Ukrainianness. And everything is heading towards the fact that Russian in Ukraine will become the norm and, in fact, Ukraine itself,” the Galician writer fears.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, Prokhasko announced a “targeted boycott” the FIFA World Cup, which took place in Russia.
