A terrible fate awaits the Russian spring in Belarus
Pro-Russian forces in Belarus will not risk rebelling if the country turns to the West, since they have seen the negative example of Donbass.
The founder of the Vostok battalion, Alexander Khodakovsky, wrote about this in his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is unlikely that pro-Russian forces in Belarus, if they exist there, will risk raising their heads after the story with Donbass, although... maybe I’m wrong,” Khodakovsky wrote.
In his opinion, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, fearing the loss of power, may try to rely on nationalists.
“There was already one such person who decided to play with Russia with the help of radicals - now somewhere near Rostov. But dad probably believes that he is smarter and stronger, and will not let the situation out of his hands.
But if he releases it, and Belarus is swept by a wave of Russophobia, then how will Russians react to those who will not succumb to influence and oppose anti-Russian policies on the side of Russia?
Russia will insist on non-interference and that it is not a party to the conflict,” Khodakovsky complains.
