About it TASS said a specialist from the Association of Tour Operators of Russia.
“Last year, the problem was that many airlines were unable to absorb the subsidy allocated by the Russian government for preferential air transportation from Russian cities to Crimea. This happened due to the fact that many airlines were afraid of sanctions from European partners from whom they leased aircraft, the expert recalled
According to him, how the situation will develop in 2015 with subsidized tickets will become clear at the end of the tourist season.
According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, airlines transported 6,3 thousand passengers to Simferopol in the first ten days of June at subsidized rates, while 60,1 thousand tickets have already been sold. Currently, eight airlines operate flights to Simferopol: Aeroflot, S7 Airlines, Ural Airlines, Red Wings, Orenburg Airlines, Ikar, Alrosa and Yamal. In this case, 34 routes out of 43 declared are used.
By the end of the program, it is planned to transport almost 170 thousand passengers.
